What happens when the team at Road Rally celebrates a wild birthday party with Tony at Skybox Lounge, AND secures 38 rooms at Wild Rose Casino in Clinton? The FIRST ANNUAL Run for the Roses of course!

The 2009 Run for the Roses is Road Rally’s first 2-day event, held May 1 and 2nd. Run for the Roses? Yes–a Road Rally event that coincides with the ever-so-famous Kentucky Derby. We can’t get you out to Kentucky and back in 2 days (hmmmm… though the way some of you drive….) but Tony at Skybox can throw a supreme party that celebrates the Derby. This is the perfect event for all of you nuts to end the Spring and usher in Summer!

You’ll be on your own on Friday afternoon/evening to get to Clinton. We’ll also be emailing everyone’s Team Name, Driver’s Names, Cell Phone, and email. This is for you to communicate with each other so you can coordinate your driving fun to Clinton. We’ll be meeting up after check-in for a Driver’s Meeting on Friday evening, and then we’ll experience everything Wild Rose has to offer.

Saturday morning, after your complementary coffee slam, you’ll set out on the Saturday Run–a Poker Run with a Rally twist! We’ll have 10 predesignated venues between Clinton and Des Moines where you’ll be able to stop to get your poker card. (Your team can plan as many poker hands as you want for $25 each).

You’ll need to get back to Skybox Lounge in West Des Moines by 3:30pm to qualify. You’ll get VIP parking at Skybox for the Derby Tent Party. And Tony said the first beer is on him!

All of this for a mere $100 per team–where else can you get such a fun event WITH an overnight stay at a hotel?!

The deadline for the 2009 Run for the Roses is April 15 at midnight and we’ll let you know if you made the cut by April 18.
